„Trouble!“ London Bootboys mit amtlicher Vorgeschichte: In Rumänien 1998 gegründet, durch massive Live-Präsenz bald eine große Nummer auf dem Balkan. Ein erstes Album erscheint 2001 in Landessprache, der Song "Patrula suge pula" (The Police Sucks Cock) wurde zur Hymne der rumänischen Punks. Jetzt in London von Vlad und Gabi u.a. mit Andy Madway (ex-OMIXLH) reformiert, nach der „Street Punk“ CDEP erscheint nun mit „On a roll“ das erste Album der „neuen“ SCANDAL. Kategorie? Viele Schubladen müssen aufgezogen werden, SCANDAL platzieren sich gekonnt zwischen die Style-Kategorien. „Trouble“ eröffnet das Album mit drivin’ Rock’n’Roll-Leads (SOCIAL D. & Co.), uptempo unterwegs und berstend vor Energie. „Bad reputation“ schiebt sich als Singalong-Volltreffer hinterher, besitzt stabiles Ohrwurm-Potential im Maximum-Level. Ob man will oder nicht, der Refrain beißt sich im Kopf fest. „Media control“ und „Need to learn“ starten jeweils mit „Wall of Sound“-Riffing, vollbrüstigen Power Chords. Der mächtige „It’s just Punk Rock“-Gassenhauer mixt einen fröhlichen Offbeat locker ins Getränk. Wenn man partout den gemeinsamen Nenner sucht, bei „Singalong“ wird man fündig. Und bei „Rebellion“: Überwiegend sozialkritische/politische Texte ohne Gefälligkeit. „Make Punk a threat again!“ Eingängig und wütend…SCANDAL. Category? It’s a tough one, SCANDAL sit a bit between the musical categories. There are a plenty of Streetpunk singalongs, kickin’ Punk Rock melodies, Oi! chants, political lyrics, drinking anthems, some Offbeat parts.
