Nächster Zielpunkt auf unserer geographischen Label-Landkarte ist die East Bay von Nordkalifornien, U.S.A., wir platzieren die Stecknadel in San Jose/Sacramento und veröffentlichen das Debüt-Album von YOUNG IDEA. Nach MADTOWN MULLIGAN und den WEST LORDS die bereits dritte NorCal Combo auf SPIRIT OF THE STREETS. Kurze Band history: YOUNG IDEA haben sich vor einigen Jahren formiert, die beteiligten Musiker spielten zuvor bei den HUB CITY STOMPERS, TRIED AND TRUE, STAGGER AND FALL etc., Sänger Big Chuck war Frontmann der WHISKEY REBELS, the Sacto Pride. Könnte man noch von ihren GMM-und PEOPLE LIKE YOU-Releases kennen.
Bis dato wurde von YOUNG IDEA die „Warpaint” 7″ auf CHAPTER 11 veröffentlicht, begleitend erschienen diverse Sampler-Beiträge auf u.a. „This is not dead”, „Gilman Ska Night 1 und 2″, „No guts, no glory 2″, „Oi! the Tape”
„War paint” und das frühere Material waren noch ein skankin’ Melting pot aus OP IVY/RANCID Style Offbeat und U.S. Streetpunk, auf „Through Stress And Storm” wird resolut die „Tough as nails” Streetpunk-Karte ausgespielt. Druckvoll-kämpferische „Ready to fight” Hymnen mit Killer-Instinkt:
Butterfly-sharp Guitar riffs, flinke Melodien, rough’n’angry Power Vocals, raumfüllende Singalongs, punchy Drum Beats.
